Good Morning Divas! I am so tired of my gimpy foot that today I decided to stroll. No.Matter.What. So, off I went for 2 laps around my apartment complex. Lots of discomfort, so I stopped at one lap. I did come back inside to do ab work and push ups, though. Since I've not been able to stroll, I've found 5 pounds that were lost somewhere. GREAT! :\ And I've been eating a lot of crap because I'm bluesy about not being able to walk. It's all really ridiculous and ... well, it's just ridiculous! Today, I'm grabbing some Icy Hot in hopes that it starts to cure the gimpy blues. I may call my dad and ask him to "write" a song about my gimpy blues & have him play it on his harmonica. By the by... my dad carries a harmonica with him at all times & just busts it out randomly. And we all just start dancing/knee slapping to whatever he's playing at the time. Yep... The A[lexander]-Team is some kind of fabulous! Last night I had a dream that I moved to GA with all my goods in a regular-sized van and an amazing moving team. Ice-T was one of the movers. Yes...odd, I know. And we arrived at my friend Ricky's place, which was huge. As we started to unload my wares, I realized that I had forgotten ALL of my dishes in San Antonio. "Oh well, I guess they'll just take that out of my deposit" was my sentiment. So the unloading continues & I notice that my dining room table isn't in the van either. And we're all just chuckling about forgetting obvious furniture and not packing up the kitchen. So, I interpret the dream as either I'm really anxious to get outta here & don't care what makes it on to the Uhaul/Penske, or I need to make sure I'm really organized when it's time to roll. Maybe a little bit of both.
So I cleaned my palace yesterday. And I just need to vacuum my bedroom. Which I'll do before leaving for Austin this morning. Or maybe upon my return so as not to disturb my neighbors.
Fall renewal tips:
6 - At least twice a week, take time for yourself. Light candles scented with the relaxing essence of lavender or vanilla. Enjoy a pampering bath with essential oils. Play a CD that will lift your spirits.
4 - Listen to motivational tapes (*remember, this is from 1998...so use your Ipod*) during your commute, while raking leaves, or doing household chores. A great one is Acts of Faith by Iyanla Vanzant.
9 - Take a water bottle with you everywhere. You need to drink at least 64 ounces daily to flush out toxins and keep your body hydrated.
