zzzzz [head hitting the keyboard]

Good Morning Delights! I bet you can guess that I'm a little sleepy. Gotta love the after effects of Benadryl. Sheesh! I would love to go home and diet today, but I've got too much to do. You'll be proud to know that I did pretty well in getting rid of stuff that holds sentimental value. Seriously...Who needs THREE college yearbooks?!?!? I tore out a page or 2 from each and put them in the disposal pile. Also discovered that I have about seven DVD's that I can sell for pocket change. Yay me! Of course, I've gotta go buy a bustier today so that I can get my maid of honor dress fitted. Think I can be THIS sexy?

Yea...uh...me either. But I'll give it a whirl. :) It's time for me to get measured anyway. I think I've been wearing the wrong size bra all year. Men truly have NO idea how easy their lives are. Whiners! By the by, I think Ms. Awesome wore a bustier and chanclas on her recent date & that's why it's taking her a while to blog. She feels that she'll owe us an explanation for her date attire. When, in actuality, we all wear that very same ensemble on all of our dates. Yep. That's the truth.

Objectives for the Day:
♣  Get my kid feeders measured
♣  Find a bustier that fits
♣  Sell some DVD's
♣  Donate a few books to the library
♣  Smile a lot & Diet well

Cheers Divas! Own the day!

Long Hand Subtraction...

is something I nearly forgot how to do. Good Morning Delights! I can't tell you how long it took me to find the correct answer to 1100 - 146 the other day. I calculated it in my head in a matter of seconds, but when I "challenged" myself to get that same conclusion via long hand...Ugh! It was bonkers. Borrowing and carrying is all sorts of madness. I think I'll sign up for a math class next semester at the community college. Just to keep my brain marbles shiny.

I accomplished a great deal of kitchen packing yesterday. Today, I'll go through my pile of books and DVD's again & see what can be sold or donated. I'm the roughest, toughest sentimental gal that I know. This means, I have a WHOLE HEAP of random items lying about because of the feelings associated with them. It's time to let them go & just keep the memories in my shiny marbles of a brain. Well, until I develop early onset Alzheimer's and the marbles become dull. That's part of the life cycle, right? I discovered that I'll be within a mile of a movie theater, restaurants, and a Publix grocery store in my new neighborhood. How fantastic is that?!?! I also discovered that planning a bridal shower with others that do not have the same sense of urgency as me is a little frustrating. After several deep breaths and a crispy apple ice cream something dessert at Denny's, the frustration melted.  Right in to my pie hole.

Annette, we hope you and Baby E are doing splendidly! Need anything? (We'll wait for Magic to reply.)

Objectives for the Day:
£  Go through books & dvd's (yea, I'm saying it again)
£  Walk to the store for milk, cereal, and fish or rice ... or fish and rice
£  Enjoy a football game or 2
£  Another sweep through the closet to see what can be donated/packed
£  Diet well

Virtually Moving About

Good Day Beauties! Well, Alexander Place won't be the place for this Alexander. Although, I'm still staying with the same agency and picked another one of their properties. The lady was super helpful in helping me find a place that the current tenants don't have pets. I know that most of you are pet lovers - and that's phenomenal - but I am the opposite. I'm not a pet hater, but I sure would love for them to never be in my space/place. I chose Parker Place and will live on Palamino Court. Sounds cheap and royal. Just like me.  ** GO CARDS! **

Oh, Crazy Foot is cooperating and not giving me the blues these days. Not sure that I can do the 3+ miles, but I'm sure I've got 2 good miles in my gimpy foot. I'll keep yall posted. Meanwhile, Ms. Awesome...tell us about the date and the fella and was there some serious sexercise going on. Annette, I hope you get to enjoy all you need to before Baby E Beautiful comes your way. TAPS, where you at? Magic, were you a chola drag queen or just a dragged queen chola? Send photos!

The heading of my daily meditation is as follows:
You can't have what you want, until you want what you have.  - Horace Harris

Love what you got, ladies! Enjoy the day!

Maybe Un-Homeless

http://atcdevelopment.com/augusta/alexander/index.html

Good Day Divas! I think I found a place to live. It's perfectly named Alexander Place. May as well give it a whirl, right? What can go wrong with a name like that?!?! :-)  Thank you all for the wonderful words of support as I trekked and trudged along this journey. I truly couldn't have gone forward without each of you. Please come see me in Augusta if you're ever in a 2000 mile radius! I found a room in Vegas for $99/night that's one mile away from the Strip, where the wedding & friends will be! I saved nearly $500. WhootWhoot! November will be hectic but grand. Oh, I walked yesterday & did arms and abs. Crazy Foot was a little uncomfortable after the walk, but not too bad. I'll ease back up to the 3-4 miles within the next few weeks.

Uhm...That's all. Really...I've got nothin' else. Of course, I could go on about how I didn't pack yesterday and I might today. Or how I'm going out for steak and drinks tonight with the gals. Or how I need a nap. But uh...Naw. It's nada. :)

Happy Friday Delights!

The Station Agent

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0340377/

Good Morning Delights! When you get a chance, check out this movie (if you've not done so already). I'm diggin' it thus far. Makes me want to ride a train to somewhere. Ms. Awesome, you should come by and help me pack stuff and then we'll go bowling. I know you want to.  As I take pictures and art off my walls and begin to wrap and pack up things, I can't figure out why I'm not sad about the process. I'm not thrilled, but not upset. Odd. And not knowing where exactly I'll live and put my things should have me more anxious, right? I guess stuff will work out like it's supposed to, because it just has to. Of course, you've all witnessed my flip-flopping on anxiety and cool and stressing and not worrying and all that jazz. So you may be reading a completely opposite blog in about...oh... 3 days. For now, I'll just let stuff roll along nicely & be happy that I've got a start date of December 5. It's tentative, pending the release date negotiation. Maybe next week, I'll mention to my super that I plan to be outta here by the end of November. RELEASE ME!

I didn't make my saunter around my complex yesterday, but today I just might. Crazy Foot may cooperate and let me walk in painless peace. I'll keep you posted.

Other Objectives for the Day:

*  Pack some dishes & other stuff
*  Un-twist my fro in to a beautiful wavy somethin'
*  Some sort of fitness
*  Enjoy lunch with former co-workers
*  Express mounds of gratitude for everything

Thanks for listening and always being supportive Divas!  Cheers!

Benadryl Haze

Good Morning Delights! I took 2 Benadryl's yesterday to combat the barrage of sneezes. I woke up crusty-faced and groggy but somehow made it to work. Good thing SinnABurst (my car) knows how to navigate herself here. She's so good to me. I did no packing, but will give it a whirl today. And I still plan to make a few laps around my apartment complex, do some arm, leg and ab work. Wish me greatness.
TAPS, hang in there, darling. I love that you've signed up for a race & joined a running club. Maybe I'll be able to do that once I hit GA. I'd love to do some fitness with Army soldiers once I'm there, but I'm too outta shape to handle it. Some day. Some day soon. Of course, by "soon" I mean within 11 years. :)  Somebody tell me why it's going to cost me so much freakin' money to host this dang bridal shower?!?! Implosion and explosion in my head is happening.

Delights, hope you're all doing splendidly on your paths to motherhood, marathons, and magnificent accomplishments! You all are the brightest gems in the universe.

Sauntering Soon

Good Morning Delights! Crazy Foot has been feeling a tad better & I think I'll be sauntering soon. Tomorrow morning, I'll do a slow stroll around my apartment complex. Maybe 2 laps. Thursday, I'll shoot for 3 laps. By Saturday, I hope to do at least 2 miles. We'll see how it goes. I miss my 3+ mile strolls more than cookie dough. And yall know how much I LOVE cookie dough. By the by...I've not had a square of cookie dough all month. WhootWhoot! Shall I reward myself with an entire package? Just joshin'. Yesterday, I made some head way while packing. Photos were taken off the shelves & walls and wrapped in clothing I won't need for a while. Today, I'll work on books, hair products, & some barely used dishes. Choo choo!

Fall Renewal Tips:
20 - Clean out processed, high salt, high fat foods (canned chili, corned beef, instant noodles and so on)from your kitchen. Stock it with healthy dried beans, grans such as brown rice and barley, low-sodium broth and other fixins' you'll use with fresh ingredients to create soups and other wholesome, nourishing foods as the weather turns cooler.

25 - Keep your relationship sweet and strong. Invite your honey on a date. Pack a romantic picnic and take him out to the country. Plan to rendezvous at his favorite night spot. Take him to the ball game or the fight. Or send the kids on a sleepover and plan an enchanted evening at home. Whatever you do, be tender and speak lovingly.

Enjoy the day Delights!

Light Bright

Good Morning Darlings! I really got a whole lotta nada to speak about. The plan for the day is to continue packing. Ms. Awesome, I love the PODS idea, but they're so damned pricey. PODBastards! Anyhoo, today I will wrap & pack up some photos & put them...some where. :) I know you all envy my ambition. I don't blame ya. I'll also type up and turn in my greater than 30 day notice to the leasing office. If worse comes to worse and I'm still here in December, I'll stay with a friend that month. I just came up with that idea right now and find it quite fancy. Yay me.
***Ms. Magic, congrats on your magical performance during your half-marathon! You are a goddess! ***

Do you all remember having a Lite Brite? I freakin' loved that game/box/thing.

Enjoy the day Divas. Make it a Brite one!

Business per Unusual

Good Morning Delights! I'm up! And being fake-productive. I wrapped coffee mugs & my blender so they'll be ready to place in a moving box once I get one. I also put a lot of the not-regularly used cooking utensils in a box to pump up my packing party. I'll be heading out the door here shortly to donate a pile of books, dvd's, clothes, and jewelry to the women's shelter. I always do it under the guise of night so I'm not seen doing my shady good deeds. Once I went there when I thought they were closed & I was too embarrassed to get out and donate the clothes, so I just drove away. WTHades is that about? How can one be embarrassed about donating? No se hermanas, but I certainly was. Weird, I know. I'm hungry. Who's with me? I'll share my peanut butter slathered granny smith apple with any of ya. Dilemma of the moment: If authorized, should I let the Army come pack up my household goods and transport them to GA for me? Or should I do it myself and get reimbursed? At 1st I was adamant about moving myself because I don't like to be separated from my stuff. And if something is lost or broken, I'd rather it be me who's responsible. Now I'm leaning more toward them coming to get my stuff so that I don't have to hitch my car to a moving truck & try to maneuver it all over the southern highways and bi-ways. What do yall think? Plus, where the hell is my stuff gonna go? I've no place to live in GA as of yet. Aye yi yi. Something great will happen, right? Sure.

Here's a sign that I'm doing serious packing (or moving stuff from one place to another) work. I've got my sneakers on sans socks. Now that's SERIOUS business right there. Fo' real. You gotta believe me! By the by, my legs are naturally bowed. Don't be concerned that I have rickets. There was a fella at Eastern who used to call me Parenthesis. True story!

Today's Objectives:
♣  Donate items
♣  Wash car
♣  Breakfast in Austin while my ailing laptop gets a physical
♣  Smile
♣  Diet as well as possible

Enjoy the day Divas! Own it!

The Death of Me...

will be the World's Finest Chocolate candy bars. I LOVE these things. And the fundraising money is for a good cause right? Sure. Good Morning Delights! I've got nothing exciting to blah blah blog about but have enjoyed all the comments you Gals have left. Yall rock my socks clean off. Well, you would if I were wearing any. This morning, I've done ab and arm work. And finished a novel. It's breakfast time. French toast and bacon please! Thanks. Other goals for the day are to blow out my afro and have a friend trim it down a tad. It's crazy up in here! And then... I really have nothing else planned for the day besides making a packing list. Hell, I may even pack up a few items. That could be me being overly ambitious, so let me slow my roll. :)  I'll get a birthday card in the mail enclosed with 11 dollars. That should be enough for him to buy a 6-pack of some fall season beer. Yummm... I think I need a mimosa at breakfast.

My sexercise partner brought over flowers. Wasn't that nice? I absolutely love sunflowers & daisies. The boy done good! Never mind all the chaos around the flowers. Just focus on the positive:

Enjoy the day delights. I'll add fall renewal tips later.

Get Outta Here!

Delights, I'm stuck with this "No, I'm Not Pregnant" blog rolling through my blog feed space. Ugh! Seriously, this chick is 131lbs and complaining about her belly and shake drinking and eating kids meals. Get me the hell outta here! Looks like I'm nearing a start date. I got a bunch of stuff from HR to complete. Isn't that a clear sign that I'm on my way? Of course it is. Instead of completing the remaining four forms, I'm on my way to the sofa. Where I will elevate my foot & watch a movie. Then maybe doze off before remembering I gotta go get my foot xray'ed. I'm just tired and want to relax for a bit. I also want someone to shave my legs. Yea, I'm gonna keep saying that. I've got a ton of random thoughts rolling about my noggin, but lucky for you Gals, I'm too tired to list them all. However, I do want to know why toothpaste companies think they're fooling us with fake tooth brushing commercials! I mean really! The toothbrush isn't even touching the fake actresses teeth & sparkly pink and blue cleaning bubbles are bursting about. WTHades? Yesterday, I didn't get to abs, legs, and arms in the traditional sense. But I did have some wonderful sexercise. That's gotta count for something, right? I'm counting it like an insomniac counts sheep.

I have no idea what my goals or objectives are for the day. I'll get back to yall.

Cheers & Happy Friday!

Bipolar Blog

Good Day Delights! Well, after speaking with my sister yesterday and discussing her filing for Social Security Disability, I feel a whole heap better. She was receptive to the idea of receiving the benefit and working only part-time. And I'm re-ready to head south! I think the paranoia is simply my fear of not knowing if my supervisor knows about me leaving & if she'll attempt to sabotage it. But at the end of the day.... I have no control over her thoughts and actions and all should work out in my favor. [breathing sighs of relief] I've done all I'm willing to do here (not all I can do, but all I'm willing to do) and it's time to move on to a more challenging and beneficial position. Sorry you all had to bear witness to another one of my bipolar career/life moments! Thanks for hanging in there. Here's a Google image of "bipolar moments":

So appropriate, right? :)  Anyhoo, I'm continue to chip away at my scroll-length To Do list. I even went the entire day without spending money. Yay me! Crazy Foot is still not completely healed, but I think I'll be able to get in for a MRI or x-ray by Friday. I just want to walk! Sheesh! Oh darn, I just read that some pastor said the world is going to end on Friday! DamnitJanet! Well, I hope to be walking when it all goes down. Ms. Awesome, welcome back from Denvuh. Hope you had a ball. TAPS, how are the Kim's and Liza doing? Just want to make sure all FTC'ers know that we still love'em.

Objectives for the Day:
☼  Continue being productive
☼  Abs, arms, legs
☼  Enjoy the fall temperatures
☼  Smile a whole lot

Own the day Divas! Cheers!
