All Out of Sorts
Good Morning Delights! Have you ever had so much to do or knew exactly what to do, but the actual "doing" becomes overwhelming? That's how I feel about my dining room table. Not that it's a complete mess, but I'm afraid to put things away because I could easily forget where I put them when I really need them. I'm outta sorts, I tell ya. Miraculously, my apartment still appears clean. Not sure how I've managed this facade while dealing with my gimpy foot. Today, I'll somehow manage to change my linen although I plan on sofa sleeping. The sofa is the ideal place to elevate my gimp foot, so I'm going with what works. The Georgia moving train is rolling along. I got another phone call yesterday about a questionnaire and PCS (Permanent Change of Station in military terms) orders that will move me there. These folks sound like they THINK I'm still in the Army. I sure hope they realize that I am VERY much a civilian now & am not up to Soldiering again just yet. Maybe they're all outta sorts and I'm actually somewhat sane. Is that stretching it? Probably.
Anyhoo, here are a couple of Fall renewal/preparedness tips from Ms. D. Jackson Gandy:
2- Assign a space in your journal/planner for recording daily renewal. Note in green ink what you did to restore yourself today. No green for several pages is an early warning to seek balance before you burn out. Haven't kept up your journal over the summer? Start today, and jot down in green ink: "I renew my commitment to personal growth. I will love myself first so that I will have more to give to others."
7 - Seek out the healing properties of touch. Get a pedicure with a foot massage over your lunch hour - heavenly!
And this was my daily meditation from yesterday. I absolutely LOVE it! Hope it's not too blurry.
Today's Objectives:
♀ Change linens
♀ Diet well
♀ Make my lunch to last the remainder of my work week
♀ Buy return ticket from NY/NJ
♀ Return Bossypants
