Divas, I'm winding up my last shift at this nutty place. It's been interesting & mostly good, but it's time to roll. I am thrilled that I began my out processing early & it should be smooth sailing today. The plan is to be on the road ultra early manana & hit Baton Rouge around 2-3pm. Maybe have a late lunch with the ex-beau. Energy permitting, I'll scoot toward Mobile, Alabama. I'll send an update from the highways and bi-ways. Feel free to begin singing Willie Nelson's (or anyone elses) rendition of "On The Road Again." Picture me in this:

One More Shift

Good Day Delights! Tonight is my last night at work & I am THRILLED to pieces. I started my out processing today & should  be completely finished by tomorrow. Whoo hooo! I packed up & organized clothes. Cleared my pantry. Took the items to the women's shelter. I'm just about ready to scrub & vacuum the place and hit the highway. I'm still trying to map out where I'll be stopping. I guess it depends on how much energy I have while driving. Baton Rouge or Mobile. Or a smaller town outside Baton Rouge called Hammond. We'll see how it all goes.

I'm off to start loading my car before heading to lunch with Mr. Hotness. (He's super hot. And super gay. Yay. :-|  )

Trial Pre-Packin'

Good Day Delights! I've decided to pack some items in to my car today & see how much room/space I'll need or use for this road trip. Of course, this is the plan in my head & it could go all awry after being at this plantation for 12 hours. But that's the goal/objective for now. If that doesn't get accomplished, I vow to take the donation box over to the women's shelter. And organize clothes. Yes...the same clothes I've been organizing for the last week. It'll get done. I swear it. Maybe I'll have to have some spiked cocoa to motivate me to move. Wait... will that de-motivate me? Yikes! I'll let yall know tomorrow. Anyhoo, I got nothin' much to blah blah blog about. My farewell brunch was superb. I am one lucky gal to have such a fabulous support system. The end!

I want some breakfast but not sure it's gonna happen. Hmm...


Too late. I've agreed to take funky middle to Mimi's. Yay. :\

I Can See The Light

Good Morning Delights! I was a wee bit productive yesterday & packed up some donatable food, threw more items in the donation box, took my dress in for alterations, packaged up a box of non-essentials that I will mail to my new address this week, & enjoyed some pretty primal sexercise. Oh, and I watched "Poolhall Junkies." This morning, I've packed cleaning supplies in to a box, sorta cleaned my kitchen, prepared my lunches for a couple of days, and will eventually wash & twist my fro. However, all I can really recall doing for days is sleeping. It's amazing how much sleep you can get when your t.v. is gone & I'm not even much of a t.v. watcher. By the by, the guys that came to pack up my things left my BluRay player, cd's and DVD's off the inventory sheets. I somehow think those items won't make it to JoyJuh. Punks! And to think I gave them my yummy tasting sangria. This was my biggest fear in having a moving company transport my items: goods ALWAYS come up missing. It's partly my fault for not reviewing the sheets thoroughly before they left, but REALLY?!?! Folks should just stop stealing from others. I'm hoping this rant is in vain & all of my items make it, but my gut (and yall know it's big enough to speak the truth) is telling me otherwise. Sigh. I'll keep yall posted.

Meanwhile, I really need to get outta this chair & organize shoes & clothes. And do my hair. Wish me luck. I think I'll try to squeeze in some push up & ab work also. Today is my Farewell Brunch with my Superior Support System. I'm sure that'll take my mind off my lost/stolen never to be found/recovered items. :)

Could be, should be...

Good Morning Delights! I could be and should be sorting my clothes in to proper piles & suitcases. But I'm not. I could also be going through my toiletries and deciding what's really necessary for the next few days I'll be here. Not doing that right now either. Could be packing up kitchen stuff & food to give away because it won't travel well with me across country. You guessed it... I'm aint doin' it! What I am doing is lounging in a stadium/camping chair, surfing the world wide web, and sipping spiked java. Just enjoyed an early morning conversation with a friend of mine where I told him about my nurse with the funky middle somehow having poo poo stains on her skirt earlier this week. Did I fail to mention that madness to you Gals? It's certain to have you paying outrageous therapy charges if I ever tell you the entire tale. Madness! Anyhoo, before I start shimmying for the day, I'd like to say that I'm quite thankful for a few things:

= Not getting in to the Black Friday chaos. As I am black every Friday & it's not always a bargain. :-D
= Pandora! I freakin' love the radio stations I've got flowing on this site.
= An entire day full of sleep & NOT having to go to work last night.
= Only a few more days of dealing with the most immoral supervisor EVER.
= New sneakers x 2 pair! Ole!
= Nichole's blog & her new journey in to a different Fight Club! Congrats Nichole!
= My sense of humor.

Happy Thanksgiving Delights! Hope each and every one of you have a fabulous & full-feeling day. TAPS, I know you're gonna rock that race & we're all cheering for you. Wish we could be at the finish line with a banner and a drumstick. Please imagine that we are if you need some mid-race motivation.

Not sure if I mentioned it to you all, but I'm going to try to live off of $22k for the year of 2012. Or at least most of the year, being that I won't begin the plan until February or March. Any surplus money will go toward debt and savings. I'll need you all to check me on occasion and make sure I'm living below my means. Thanks.

my sanity, let me stop working already! Good Morning Delights! Nothing too traumatic is happening at work (besides the soap opera drama), but I'm just over this place already & would LOVE to stop coming here. I keep plotting what the day will be like - next Wednesday - when SinnABurst is loaded down & we scoot away from San Tony. Keep your eyes crossed that my escape plan works. 

Have I ever mentioned how much I love a good cheeseburger? Well, it's true. I love cheeseburgers almost as much as...NO...More than I love smoked sausage. Annette, how are you and Baby E doing? Magic, I hope you're being kind to Vegas & leaving a little bit of cash in the machines for the next victim. Ms. Awesome, we've YET to hear about the Fella. Do I know him? :)  Nichole, Alisa, & GoGoGallant, I know you all are rockin' and rulin' like only you 3 can. TAPS, I am so in love with your spirit. Please continue to share it with the masses. Roughly Eight More Rough Nights...

Good Morning Delights! I have approximately eight more shifts to work before I'm outttta herrre! Are you imagining my happiness? Go there with me. Go to my happy place. Wait...back up. How odd is that? Anyhoo, I think today's gonna be a grand day complete with jolly, random happenings. And hopefully, I'll go bowling this evening before work. We'll see if I can swing it. I did some ab work last night & will try to do some more today. Along with a walk & some arm stuff. By the by, I broke down and went to the washateria. Wasn't a bad experience except for their hard water faded ALL of my items. WTHades is that about?!?! I need to get me a happy place shirt and scoot along. I've been spending some time researching all the wonders of Augusta and am getting pretty excited about taking it all in. Nothin' But Drama!

Good Morning Delights! Not a whole lot going on nor to report. Just soap opera drama here at work. Have I mentioned once or thrice how I am soooo looking forward to my last day? Judas damned priest! Let me outta here. Otherwise, yesterday was a good day. Breakfast in Austin was delightful & I just love my Green Chile Crew. Unfortunately, I had too much tea and coffee & was unable to get to sleep until 5:30 pm. Uhm...getting to work @ 11:30 was a no-go. I got here eventually. Just to hear drama about me, others, this, that, & nada. Ridiculous. Whatcanyado!

Still pushing forward with being grateful. And looking forward to breakfast with a former nurse of mine.

Pushin' Along!

Good Day Delights! I walked a little bit more today & ate up all the burned calories at breakfast. It was my last meal in Austin with my NM crew & it sure was tasty. I'll try to walk about tonight at work & maybe do some arm & ab work, too. We'll just see how that goes. Tomorrow, I may find myself at a washateria because I certainly need my sheets, blankets, and jeans cleaned. Aye yi yi ... I so dislike not having a washer and dryer handy. But there are far worse things, right? Yes? C'mon... agree with me. Just joshin'. I know there are far worse things in life & I'm actually feeling very fortunate these days. I'm grateful for wonderful friends, a nice twist out of my afro, nice legs, camping chairs for furniture, a working vehicle, and fruit! And of course, I'm forever grateful for you all mighty FTC'ers!

Good Evening Glories! I hosted the hades outta that bridal shower & it went pretty smoothly. My Gal Pal has been really stressed with wedding planning, her job, her mama, etc. so I it was the very least I could do to rock star that shower. I'd rather not host another one ever in life, but I just can't stop folks from walking the aisle. Sheesh. :)  Oh... Big news! I went walking this morning. Not my 3 miles, but I did a little. My Gimpy Foot was a little uncomfortable but I can handle that. Now that the packing and shower processes are complete, I can maybe get back to fitness. I'm gonna need all the walking in the world with all the "last meals" I have coming up. It's nice to be liked. And it's nice that folks will miss me. But gosh damn there's a whole lotta food involved when saying goodbye.

I just dozed off while typing. I believe that's my queue to cut yall loose and prepare to sleep sweat.

Air[less] Mattress

Hello Delights! Night 2 on the air mattress has left me enlightened. The plastic of the mattress makes me sleep sweaty. Boo caca hiss piss. Also, it is not good for my back. So, I gotta steal a blanket from work to provide extra support. Of course I'll return it...maybe. :)  Just joshin'. Gals, I've been trying to avoid going to my gal pals bridal shower. You know the one I'm hosting? But, I've decided to suck it up and be the best maid of honor that I can be. I'll be at the house tonight helping to decorate. And I'll be there tomorrow hosting my toot toot off. (Yall know I'm saying this to myself mostly, right? I've gotta pump myself up!)  I'll keep you posted.

I'm SO ready to go! I want today to be my last day so I can stop being an unwilling participant in the madness at this job. Ugh. Get me outta here! Please. Help. Now. Okay... Okay... I'll wait patiently. Or semi-patiently. But if I end up pulling out my hair, I will place blame on all of ya. :) 

Dryer-less

Good Morning Delights! The packers came & took all my goods away. I'm washer and dryer less and haven't reached full blown panic yet. But I'm tellin' ya... It's on the horizon. I mean, how creepy can the laundromat be these days? I used to go to the washateria (I really just wanted to use that word) in Portales on Friday nights & it made for interesting sights. And I still love the smell of a hot dryer tossing my wears about. So, going once before I leave shouldn't be too awful, right?!?!  Help me out here FTC'ers. Anyhoo, the fellas that came and packed & loaded my goods were pretty amazing. I gave them sangria when they were finished and it was a grand time. Hopefully, they didn't crash & burn on their way to the storage warehouse. Now that my stuff is gone & I've finally received an email from my new sponsor (who might also be my supervisor), I feel a lot less anxious about the transition. I'm so so so ready to roll. I think the road trip will be peaceful and fun, also. Again, I've got nothin' but thanks and appreciation for each of you for listening to my multi-polar chaos of what I want to do and who I want to be. You all are the grandest! 

My objective for the day is to clean a little. Not that I have anything to clean...but ya know. Maybe I'll organize the remains in my closet. And take a nap on my oh so dreamy air mattress. :\

Getting My Packing Party Started

Good Morning Glories! Today, the packers will arrive on the scene to start my moving process. I'm excited and anxious. I just hope all of my goods and bads arrive safely in Augusta at the end of the month. Plus, once they take my washer and dryer out of my place tomorrow, I may have a melt down. Maybe I'll climb in to the dryer and just go with them. Why not, right? This is the point where you raise your brows and think: Why not? Why not?!?! Well because that's ridiculously dumb and crazy, Carmen! That's WHY NOT!!!

Other than overseeing the packing madness, I have no real goals for the day. Maybe a load of laundry because it'll be the last my washer & dryer see of me for weeks. Sigh. Deep. Heavy. Sigh. To lift my spirits, I did not buy a car, but I did go to the Saucony website and get me two new pair of kicks. WhooTWhooT! I have bits of chicken strips in my teeth. Not a good look, I tell ya. I need to go to my car & grab some floss. Then I can be as sexy as this lady:

Or at least set me free. Good Morning Delights! Ladies, I'm ready to go. I'm ready to stop coming to my dead end job & being harassed by my nutty supervisor. The joy is, she's on vacation this week & I'll feel the shackles being loosened around my ankles and wrists. Dramatic much? Just a smidgen. It suits me fine, dontchall think? :) Anyhoo, I say I'm ready to go, but haven't really prepared myself for the trip or to have the folks come in to my place & pack up my wares. I've gotta work on that this week as...well, they'll be in my place this week. Wish me luck and a buck or 3. Thanks. I just want to sleep & then sleep some more. Freakin' Maurice. Someone bring me a Kit Kat and spiked hot chocolate, PLEASE! Thanks.

Am I Sanitized Yet?!?!

Good Morning Divas! Vegas is a dirty city. Not sin dirty. But ridiculously trash spread about stained sidewalks tagged buildings and bus stops & unswept shuttle buses dirty. I did not care for the place and do not really see a need to return. Wait... Should A Tribe Called Quest or a resurrected Heavy D ever perform there, I may have to gear up in Clorox Wipes and head back that way. It was a relaxing weekend, full of chuckles, but I am too thrilled to be back in my own sanitized space. I'm now washing & rinsing the Vegas outta my clothing. And I'm pretty sure I could go on record for having took the longest shower in history last night. I know some chemist and biologist are constantly harping about how germs build up your immune system, but those damned dirty sidewalks have to be the reason any of the "cillin's" were created. I still feel like I may need amoxy, penni, Vegascillin to get myself back to an unbalanced norm. :)

Anyhoo... TAPS, I love who you are & I love what you're doing. I'm having tea right now as I type. Mostly because my muy mal eating and Maurice are wreaking havoc on my belly, but am enjoying the tea comfort nonetheless. Congrats on your 1.6lb loss. Keep rockin'. I know all of you are doing wonders in your lives. Be sure to let us know about them so we can continue to brag every once in a while.

Better Than Walking...

is sexercise! Good Morning Delights! I had a couple rounds of sexercise yesterday & it was a good fitness substitute. No walking. No arm work. A little bit of ab work. No packing. And there are still dishes in my sink. Today... I will get to everything today. Oh...Maybe not. I've got Vegas packing and planning to do. I'm a mess. So, with that said, there may actually be 2 days that I do not blog as I'll be trying to make What Happens In... stories. Wish me luck!
