Beginning Spa Bliss!

Good Morning Delights! Just wanted to say thanks to each of you for your kind and supportive words about my GA gig! I am SO excited that the security clearance portion is complete & I will have a start date soon. I'm ready to roll! Literally and figuratively if I keep growing this belly. :\  Today I'm getting a facial and my eyebrows managed. Monday I get a salt scrub & massage. I suppose I'll get my piggies repainted while I'm at it. My body is in desperate need of spa treatment and I deserve all the services. There's a good chance I'll be coloring my `fro again tomorrow, too. It's looking ashy at the moment and I don't dig that at all. I'm hitting a beer and burger happy hour tomorrow evening to celebrate making it through this demon week and receiving the news about my gig. So...yea...the weekend is all about me. Mostly. I do have a bridal shower to attend. And this brings me to the opinion question of the day: The bridal shower is for a friend whose wedding I am the Maid of Honor. We've been discussing showers this past week, and I think she's up to FOUR! Yes...there will be at least four showers for this ONE wedding. Is this the norm nowadays? I get having two if some of the family lives in a different location, but FOUR! I think it's overboard, greedy, and ridiculous. Am I completely out of touch with wedding reality? Help me Baby Buddha!

Fall Renewal Tips:
3 - Clear away clutter at home or the office. Clutter clogs your channels of creativity. Make some space, and some money, by taking books you've read to a used bookstore and redeeming them for cash. Throw away old papers and file only those that you must keep. Then observe how smoothly your thoughts flow.

5 - Clean out your closet. Send clothes you'll wear to the cleaners if they need it, and donate those you won't use to a women's shelter or community organization. Take garments in mint condition to a consignment shop and make money on resale. Remember, when you let go of things you no longer need, you make space for new blessings.

To do my part and to be in the flow of renewal, I'll be going through my books and dvd's today or tomorrow & donating them to my local library. I already make a monthly donation trip to the women's shelter, but I bet I can find some other items to throw in the bag. And because my mama didn't steal anything from my place on her last visit, I'll send her an antique clock she was eyeing on my shelf. One less thing for me to pack, right? Yep. No more major objectives for the day besides staying off my foot. I've gotta figure out a way to burn fat and calories while staying put. :)

Own the Day Divas! Cheers!
