Good Morning Delights!
I realized yesterday that I'm back to half-assing some goals/areas in my life and I need to re-focus and re-assess priorities. I've not done anything cultural in quite some time & still want to get in an event weekly. However, in re-assessing and re-thinking, every week may not be do-able but I can certainly get in 2 cultural events per month. I also need to do some sort of community give back and am looking at Meals on Wheels and mentoring high school kiddos. My plan is to meet with a couple of principals and/or counselors within the next week. I think I gained a few pounds back, too. While I'm very satisfied with my overall fitness progress, I have got to RE-FOCUS! I also want to learn a lot more about computer networking & programming & such. There are some community education classes offered relatively cheaply at some of the high schools. So, like Gallant, I'll jot down attainable goals/To-Do's on a calendar and work forward. I'm a realist and know every day won't go as planned, but I still need structure. Damn that military training of mine! :-) And guess what else I've discovered and re-discovered and keep discovering!?!?! Facebook consumes a ton of my time! I may have to go on another hiatus. I was so much more productive when it was semi-absent from my life. [Shaking my fist at Zuckerburg!] (She looks as close to me as Google could get):
Objectives of the Day/Week:
♣ Contact 2 high schools & Meals on Wheels (yes, even with today's gas prices!)
♣ Get in touch w/ my elderly neighbor & see how she's doing
♣ Register for a computer class
♣ Walk a lot!
♣ Buy some wine (Maurice will want some when he arrives)
♣ Remain positive!

Every time I'm reading these blogs Ellison is like "What's so funny?" You're awesome! Can you believe we are already almost to the middle of the year?! It's hard not to want to do a lot but what I'm trying to do is focus on the just two areas in my life that I'm not happy with...Career & Body. I know I can't do it all at once but the little steps will add up. You are doing great! You are an incredible human being!
Thanks TAPS! And hola Ellison! I should try focusing on 1-2 areas. Somehow, I keep lumping everything in to ONE huge area: Self-improvement. That umbrella holds a lot: career, body, brain, social life, etc... I shake my fist at myself. :)
