Much Ado About Nada!

Really... I don't have much to state and/or report. Like Melanie, this blog could be the ever growing Get-It-Done-Now list. Guess who stated on Day 1 that she'd apply for the social work program and has yet to complete that task! (Hint: I'm raising my hand. Well, not really ... because I'm typing, but you know what I mean.) Why have I not started the application, you wonder (I know you really don't wonder, but who doesn't want to feel important sometimes?!?!)? For a variety of excuses is my answer. Do I have the time? The money? And what exactly will I do with that degree? And why is Facebook just so intriguing/time consuming? What if I end up in the Army again & have to quit the program? And yada yada blah blah blah. So guess what fellow FT'ers, I'm not even going to say that I'll apply today. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Once I've applied, I'll list it as VICTORY!

However, what will happen today is a hair cut. I've been rocking a medium-short afro for several months. The woes (and occasional pain) of picking it out are too much for me. Today, my medium-short doo will go to a very short doo-fro. I am trying to convince myself that I'll be just as fabulous with the new hair. Big hoop earrings here I come! I'll try to post before & after pics on the group page.

Additionally, I'll be eating at one of my favorite burger joints: Culvers. Their buttered buns are ultra delicious. It's my goal to get a kiddie meal & be satisfied. Before the doo make-under, I hope to get in some fitness. And maybe even before I indulge in a buttered bun, (Am I the next Queen of Porn Titles???) I will do some sit-ups. Oh oh oh... I forgot to mention that I've lost 4lbs. Hooray!

Thank you all for sharing your tremendous progress! I'm thrilled and honoured to be connected to such positive, intelligent, and witty women.

Cheers to US!

Yay Carmen! I don't want to pressure you on the application but sometimes the "What ifs" keep us from doing things we want to do. Start small. Just fill out the easy parts and worry about the rest later.

Thanks Ladies! That was the pre-doo-under. I'm still not sure about the REAL doo-under. I need way bigger earrings & have to be dressed all the time.

TAPS, thanks for checkin' me. Small and easy leads to big and...well, here we go with the porn'ish comments again. :-)
