The Beginning to Keep it Going!

Today met me with too many hours of lounging and BBQ. I do, after all, live in south Texas. However, to stay true to my Following Through, there was a post-molasses sauce-covered-meat walk through a wonderfully woods-like park. I also made a plan to make this the place at where I will jog twice per week. After my woodsy saunter, I came home & reviewed fitness standards that the Army has in place. I've achieved them before and plan to achieve (and exceed) them again within the next 6 months. Goals of the week were somewhat hashed out during this saunter. They are as follows:

* 2-3 days of water aerobics
* 2 days of re-Beginning Jogging 101 (where I am the instructor/trainer/cheerleader)
* Fruit & vegetables every day
* Lower my sugar intake little by little. I'll begin with what goes in to my coffee. :-)
* Help somebody else begin and/or stay great!

The realization is that physical activity helps stave off many ailments while, at the same time, allows an outlet for decompressing. However, emotional and mental health are just as important to a balanced existence. And because helping others makes me (and "them", hopefully) feel good, 2011 is the year of reclaiming better overall health.

Thanks again Theresa.

Let's get it!
