Heavy Heart

Hi Delights ~ This morning I was asked to be part of a search team for a 7-year-old little girl who went missing on the Army post where I work. When we got there, the police told us that we would be last resort searchers as they had plenty of Soldiers already out looking. Of course, many of us were upset to be turned away, as the girl had been missing by 12 hours by then. We went out on our own and looked around different places anyway for a few hours. I just got a phone call that the girl was found at the bottom of a lake there on post. Just sad, sad, sad news. I feel deep for her family. Rest peacefully Hannah.

The university from where I received my Master's has denied me admission to their counseling program because it's too similar to the degree I've already obtained from them. Uhm... WTEfff?!?!? I kept telling the admissions representative that I don't understand what she's talking about or how they make that make sense. I hung up more confused than prior to the call. Nutty folks! The search for another escuela continues. And for a mattress. And two more dining room chairs. And for the key to having a fluffy, bouncy afro. And for... several other great things!

Celebrations:
=  Walking several miles this weekend
=  Not getting too let down about the university's decision
=  FINALLY putting sheets on my bed so I won't have to sleep on the sofa
=  Cleaned out the chaos of my work bag. Not sure how I was getting anything done
=  Deep conditioning my fro
=  A few loads of laundry

Objectives:
=  Party it up at the New Edition concert on Tuesday
=  A lot more fitness w/o having a heat stroke
=  Have dinner w/ an old Greyhound buddy of mine
=  Smile, chuckle, and make others chuckle
=  Find a new school
