Yay! zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hooray for The King's Speech taking top honors. Not so much hooray for my beau, Mr. Bale, looking quite mammoth in nature. Kinda weird, but with the help of Maury, Sally Jesse Raphael, & Judge Joe Brown, we'll be able to work through our differences.

Ladies, I've got nothin' more to say except for have a fantastic day (and whatever comes in later sentences).

I'm tired & am preparing to diet hard. But I think I have to make me some damitJanet lunch first.

Mighty...

Good Day Divas!

I feel mighty alright for having one more hour left of my 12-hour shift. I'll do another tomorrow & then back down to easy eights. I feel mighty alright for having watched "Waiting for Superman" the other night. Did I already discuss this? My short-term memory is for nada most of the time. Anyhoo, those of you with children whom you care about should watch this film. And if anyone's thinking about entering the field of education, definitely watch this film. Amazing, yet somewhat sad, stuff. And I used all my might to knock out some sit ups and push ups the last couple of days. Ole! I'm feel damned mighty about accomplishing personal goals one heap at a time. I've made a budget to help reduce debt; I'm losing pounds and inches (my jeans are almost at the stage where they're so big they look gross on me); I'm coming up with ideas on how to be a better me every day. Thank you all for comments, advice, encouragement and chuckles. I bequeath you all a little bit of time with my Bon Jovi poster. I'll even include some Clorox wipes to swab away my cooties.

Because I'll get home from work today in just enough time to prepare for bed, my goal list is mini in size.

♣  Walk a lap around my apartments if it stops drizzling
♣  Sit ups & push ups
♣  Watch Thursday's episode of 'Community'
♣  Wash dishes

Happy Oscar Night Divas! I'm still rooting for The King's Speech to take the big prize!

ZZZZZzzzzzz

Good Morning Gals!

I'm sleepy! And that's about all. I did do just about everything on my list yesterday, with the exception of push ups and sit ups. I've just forgotten to get around to those this past week. Belive me? Sure ya do. I SWEAR I'll do them when I get home this morning. Sheesh. Get off my back already mom! [Flailing hands in the air; stomping to my room to kiss my Jon Bon Jovi poster!] Okay, really... I'll leave a note on my lap top that says "HIT THE FLOOR!" & that will force me to do exercises before blogging/emailing/cyber-stalking all day.

Ladies I need you all to wake up & provide me your advice. I'm the maid of honor in my friends wedding next year. The engagement party is today at 1 p.m.  I go to bed @ 2 p.m. on the nights I have to work. Not only do I have to work tonight, I'm doing a 12-hour shift. The party is about 45 minutes away from my place. As the maid of honor, am I supposed to just suck it up, lose sleep, and go to the party? Or do I politely decline for the sake of bagless eye sockets & alertness amongst my addicts? HELP! Yes, I know this sounds like a word math problem when two trains are departing the Chicago depot at various times. I just would like to know what yall would do in this situation. I'm afraid I'd be wearing this to the party & Zoro is not my date:
Anyhoo, feed me your thoughts, please.

Bombarded By Breakfasts'!

Hello Delights!

I LOVE breakfast! More than a whole lot of other things, stuff, and any meal. Breakfast is my thang! I can't get enough of it & it certainly cannot get enough of me. Yesterday, I had decided to eat breakfast out only twice per month instead of twice per week. Guess what happened soon after that decision! I was dining out & enjoying a wonderful plate of American-made French Toast! YUMMMMM! Help me!

Okay, not much else going on. I accomplished quite a bit yesterday & today will be the opposite. I want to diet right now, but have a birthday lunch to attend. Help me! The bonus is that the lunch is in a cool part of downtown, so I'll head there early and maybe saunter about a museum. Culture at last. I'll make it a goal.

Today:
σ  Get in some culture & walking.
σ  Don't go overboard on Mexican food. (Help Me!)
σ  Sit ups & push ups
σ  Watch a movie @ work.  :-)

Happy Friday & Delightful weekend to all!

Thoughts O'Random!

Mornin' Beauties!

So, gas is over 3 bucks per gallon here in S. Texas! While it's not as high priced as in other parts of the country but DAMN! I live in the state with barrels and barrels and barrels of freakin' oil! It's not like I'm paying import prices. It reminds me of when I was in Paris and was charged 8 euro for freakin' iced tea but the wine was 2 euro! I guess that made sense but damnitjanetbastards! Anyhoo, off I went to fill up at the cheap times of the day (before 7 a.m.) & tried to contain my pissyness when I turned two blocks down and saw even cheaper prices. Homer Simpson has better luck, I swear!
Ladies, I've got lots of random thoughts & lots of goals/ideas. Flip your coin & choose what you'd like to hear (read) first. Be forewarned, the coin looks exactly the same on both sides. So, here ya go:

♣  What's going on with Elton John's face? Who has the worst plastic surgeon? Him? Kenny Rogers? Michael Jackson? Again, flip that same coin.
♣  Should I care about space shuttle Discovery being retired? I just can't muster up so much concern. What I do care about is that schools, teachers, and education programs are losing funding. So...uh...what good is a space shuttle if we cannot afford to teach folks the science behind the damn thing?!?!
♣  I did my part & contacted a couple of law offices to have my Living Will completed. Wouldn't ya know not a single lawyer returned my messages! Bleh. Have any of you ever used LegalZoom.com?
♣  Music videos are kinda sorry these days.
♣  I love the J.Geils Band!

♥  Elizabeth, how are you darling? Mayor Melanie, welcome back! Ms. JennAwesome, I am truly thrilled that your nephew is healing. TAPS, I drove by Texaco gas station near my place & thought about all the grief I used to give you about getting gas there back in the day. I can't think of the name of your Bug that had a black front end, but I told you that car wouldn't run well if you put Texaco gas in it due to Texaco's racism issues. `Member? Alisa, I remember always thinking you had fabulous hair. Wanna sell me some? KimB, this April we should meet for lunch. Let's make it happen. Gallant, I love your soul! I hope to meditate & do yoga like you some day. Thanks for the inspiration. Nichole, I channeled every alter ego that I have & we all agree that you'll be Chicago bound by the end of this year. Annette...RUN sister RUN!

Today I Will:
♠  Email a friend of mine who's a lawyer & get his advice on this Living Will jazz.
♠  Clean my entire bathroom, not just my sink.
♠  Bust out my Dave Ramsey book & figure out how to eliminate debt at a faster rate. Yes... I know you're all thinking, "Stop taking your ass to the movies three times a week silly girl!" Fine. Fine. I'll work on it.
♠  Write thank you notes to each of our security officers at work. Most of them do a grand job & I'm thankful to have them around.
♠  Walk it out & enjoy the weather.

Let's go TEAM!

My vehicle, my trick!

Good Morning Delights!

I was feeling really great about going in for my 20 dollar oil change & tire rotation. You know...the one I blogged about last month! Coupon was present. In I go. Chipper as all get out. Not even dismayed about the 1.25 hour wait I'll endure. I mean...the LATEST issue of Good Housekeeping was on the (probably stained with motor oil) end table. I was settled in to be entertained and educated about if the Shake Weight really works, foundation applications and what type of silverware to purchase. Three-quarters in to my engrossing article about domestic violence victim, Mary Clemons of Terrell, Texas, the young car stud comes over with a tray of dirty oil samples. Supposedly, all these dirty samples came from somewhere on my beloved SinnABurst. Said stud rambles on about transmission fluids, brake fluids, radiator hoses, this should be at this level, there's a crack in the washer fluid container, and some other Charlie Brown teacher speak. It was like SinnA went to the free clinic on the corner of Zuni & San Pablo (reference for my ABQ peeps) and came out with the equivalent diagnoses a lady of the night working that same intersection would receive from the nurse practitioner just doing her clinical's. My SinnA's no whore (a mama in denial = moi) and I do not appreciate the implication that she very well have that nasty woman's disease. (Have I ever mentioned how much I love The Color Purple film?)  Anyhoo, I am scanning the spectrum of cultures on the tray in Stud's hand & carefully choose to have SinnA's transmission fluid flushed and refilled. Wanna know what I really think about that process? No? So what. I'm gonna tell you anyway: SinnA got douched. To the fine tune of 80 bucks! Twenty dollar oil change ends up costing me $109.26. What the...cut the bull will ya?!?!

So, guess what Gals?!?!  I'm going to see "Unknown" and drown my sorrows in popcorn, Sprite, and a dingy seat with gum stuck on/near/around it. That's right. I'm blowin' this joint with my already-purchased deal from Groupon. After the flick, I'll walk the park for a lap or 3.

Sincerely,

Full Assed

Hello Beauty Queens!

Yesterday, I did indeed go full-assed at my goals. My room was vacuumed, dishes were washed, food was prepared, I finally saw "Bitiful" (Javier wants me!), and I dieted like Suzanne Somers on an ab-roller. Good day. And to top it off, I received delivered flowers from "somebody." "Somebody" is being coy & chose to remain anonymous, but the flowers sure are good lookin'. I also won a truck for which I bid on Ebay. How the hell am I gonna get it here from Wisconsin is beyond me. There's another I want in Santa Cruz, CA. I have a good chance at that one, so I'm hoping Wisconsin guy holds in/out & gives me one more day. Who wants to meet me in Santa Cruz & drive down to Texas just to fly back to your respective part of the country? Raise your hand! Yay! All of 10 of you are down for this road trip!

Okay, I can no longer focus on the blog. I want greasy Long John Silvers for lunch (don't judge me ladies) & I still don't know who sent flowers. I'm hungry  and sleepy. AAAGGH! I'll try eating something healthy. No guarantees. Here's a look-a-like of my new/old hoopty (hopefully):
