... but not really. Hello Delights! I'm not quite sure why my cousin has to tell little lies. You know, if there is such a thing. I consider them little because she just sorta steals your words and makes them part of her story and/or situation. Here's an example from tonight. We were discussing the autopsy report on Whitney Houston.
Me: I like how folks are surprised that drugs were found in her system. Do they think she just took a bath sober, went to sleep, and wasn't able to jolt herself awake as she was slipping in the tub?!?!
Her: I know! That's what I told the folks at work today. I said, "Do yall just think she was sober and fell asleep in the tub? You know she had something in her system."
Now, that all doesn't sound like a big deal, right? It wouldn't be if she didn't do that during EVERY conversation we have. I could say I did/said/want anything, and she'll work it in to her own [made up] situation. Quite bizarre. Plus, I know she didn't have that conversation about Whitney with her work folks today because she spent most of the day at the hospital checking on her boss' boyfriend. Anyhoo, I still consider these instances little lies and am not quite sure if they fall in to the One-Upping category. The little lies don't bother me, but I just don't understand why she does it. Bleh! I ate a tiny bag of Cheetos for dinner. Why is the Lumberjack still here?

Undergarments
Hello Beautifuls! I've decided again that undergarments aren't great, and we need to get rid of them. Bras are so oppressive and just wrong for comfort. However, I hate to see sloppy titties and don't want to be a gal with saggy boobs, so I guess the oppressive gear must stay around. This morning I jogged and did some ab & arm work. Probably defeated that fitness goodness w/ the bbq pork sandwich and tots I had for lunch. Oh, and the 2 glasses of wine & red beans and rice I've had for dinner. I also had 2 little cookies at lunch. Aye yi yi. I suppose I'll ease back on my food intake tomorrow. And I'm not gonna wear panties. Yea. I said it. You're all the victims to my craziness. Thanks. You're welcome. I got an estimate to get my car painted today. A freakin' grand!!! Do I pay it so that Sinn can be pretty? Do I use that money as a down payment for another car? I was supposed to come home and work my finances, but I drank wine instead. <burp>
Celebrations:

% Greeting the day with fitness

Semi-Sane
Howdy Delights! The office is getting back to a somewhat sane state, although the Madness (a.k.a. Puerto Rican receptionist) is still trying to pull me in to her melodramatic play on everyone's emotions. She's kinda nuts and not in a tasty cashew sorta way. I didn't jog today as I wanted, but I accomplished some other great and tedious tasks. Tomorrow. Tomorrow will meet and greet me with fitness. Are any of the rest of you experiencing hormone changes as you age? Like your deodorant doesn't work like it used to? Or the texture of your hair is different? Skin more oily or dry? Hormones can be bastards on occasion! Not sure if I mentioned it yesterday, but I was able to give the found wallet back to its owner. He and his girlfriend were nice and I loved that he was wearing a pair of her Old Navy flip flops. And they were white! That's how I know they couldn't have been his. ** I freakin' LOVE(d) Heavy D! ** I need a massage. Put that on my list of things to do tomorrow.
Celebrations:
* Catchin' up w/ a couple of wayward friends. (Not sure why I used wayward here)
* Dusting, vacuuming, doing laundry
* Surviving the Madness
* Realizing that my panties weren't very comfy & tossing them in the trash mid-morning today :-)
* Making it to the post office
Tomorrow's (or the next day's) Objectives:
- Tune up
- Survive the Madness again
- Somehow make time to vacuum SinnABurt
- Fitness!!!

Patience
Thanks for the advice & encouraging words about my next choice in academia. I think I will wait for a bit and follow what ever shakes my spirit at the time. Plus, my upcoming travel schedule is gonna be too bonkers for me to concentrate on course work. With that said, TAPS, I am going to really look at planning some time to come to NYC to see my beau. I've decided every vacation or mini-trip I make from this point forward will be high quality. I don't wanna do anything else "just because." I chose not to jog this morning but to take a leisurely stroll. On my way home, I came across an empty wallet & what appeared to be its contents strewn all along my path. I called the fella's bank to cancel his credit card and I also left him a voice mail & email message. Initially, I walked right on by the empty wallet AND the bank card. But once I saw a couple other wallet-type items, I went back and picked up everything because I would want the same courtesy. Plus, this guy had his mini-diploma from college in his wallet. That made me think about how proud he must be of himself to have graduated college. I'm a big time education advocate & softy, so seeing that mini-diploma made me smile and come up w/ many scenarios about why he's carrying that diploma. Is he the first one in his family to go to/complete college? Did he overcome a ton of struggles to get there? Did someone at some point tell him he'd never make it? I'll be mailing the wallet & its contents to him tomorrow. And I certainly hope nothing terrible happened to this guy as his wallet is a long way from the address on his business card.
My walk was great and I have spent the remainder of the day doing the most nothing one could do. I've had conditioner and a plastic bag on my hair for about ... oh...7 hours. What a soft fro I'm gonna have this week. :-)
Celebrations:
= Going back for the wallet
= Doing some ab work
= Community is back on tv
= Breakfast for dinner
= Soft hair
Goals for Tomorrow:
= Schedule the tune-up & paint job
= Jog
= Donate clothes & shoes
= Vacuum SinnABurst (she's a muddy mess)
= Enjoy my soft tresses
Cheers Delights!

Catch'er Upper
Hello Gorgeous Gals! I did actually jog do some weight lifting today before heading to breakfast and later indulging in mid-day dessert. But I did walk the mall some to help combat the fat pile that was taking up residency on my belly. Ugghhh. I may jog again tomorrow or maybe just walk. Who knows?!?! I do know that I want Ms. Awesome to have a fantastic Shuffle tomorrow. Go `head with yo' bad self. Did you all know that I am a supreme catch'er upper? Truly I am. I can get on the phone and be here with folks for about... oh, let's say... FOUR hours! Yea. That's right. I'm doing that right now. I rock at this! But it's all fabulous really & worth the chuckles. New/old dilemma: I need to find a real reason to go to school since it's paid for. Do I go the counseling route? Social work? Stick with the medical coding? AKDFN@$N#NRNRRK! I don't want to waste the money that's there for me. But... I do have until 2022 to use the benefit. Maybe I should stop rushing, right? :-) Thanks for listening.
Celebrations:
+ 4 hour plus catch up conversation
+ Getting my goddaughter a book on space for her birthday
+ Getting out & jogging today
+ Eating an absolutely delicious biscuit for breakfast
Tomorrow's Objectives:
= Fitness
= Find a place to get a tune up
= Not overdo it on junk food
= Watch Luther
Enjoy the Shuffle, Jenna!
Cheers Delights!

Smarter
Howdy! The workshop in Atlanta proved to be a good one & I'm much smarter than when I arrived there. Success! I also came home w/ a new dress and work out pants and a cardigan. Boo caca hiss. I've got to find some more clothes to donate and a place at where to donate them. Why oh why do I crucify myself. Yes. I'm being Tori Amos dramatic. At least that's who I think squeals those lyrics. Where is Maurice? He should be here by now? Maybe next week? Ms. Awesome, congrats for signing up for the shuffle & I hope the new gig is treating you right.

Being All I Can Be
Good Evening Beauties! This morning by 7:00, I had ran just over a mile and a half, worked my abs & arms, fixed my lunch, and completed 2 loads of laundry. Talk about doing the most! It was a set up for a perfect and peaceful day. True... If I lived in the land of Make Believe. I was so proud of my a.m. accomplishments that I was certain nothing/nobody could mess up the day. Enter the Amazing Crazy Puerto Rican Receptionist. She and the lead counselor had it out today. Completely. All.Out.War. As I bear witness to all the madness, I was just trying to reflect on all the pre-7 wonder. I was snapped out of my bliss by having to make her breathe in to a paper sack as she began to hyperventilate! Yep. This was my morning. Full blown bonkers by 9:30 a.m. Trying to explain there's no job worth getting this sick about over and over and over and... you understand... to a person who absolutely REFUSES to take ownership of her situation can make a sane person commit-able.
Celebrations:
- - Everything that happened prior to 7 a.m.
- - Finally completing a taxing online training
- - Somehow managing to pack for my overnight excursion to Atlanta although I've had too much wine
- - Freakin Seinfeld!!!
- - Getting the angry lady to laugh & smile ... eventually
Manana's Objectives
- - Mail out the cards and letters I didn't get to today
- - Not get riled by Atlanta traffic
- - Enjoy dinner w/ a former Greyhound
